The ghost of a party
The plastic is melting? It would seem. What is certain is that those who were deceived after the 2008 elections that the PDL had become a party more or less true, more than one electoral list, are now forced to think again. It was not something more often, too often, it was something worse. A court has been authoritatively said.
But what seems to be seen, rather a sum of local potentates gathered around quarrelsome set of third order, remnant of the oligarchies and cadres of the governing parties of the First Republic. Beyond any moral judgments all this does is to highlight an important question: why the Italian right, while the beauty of fifteen years, and despite the conditions so favorable, that has not been able to piece together the confusing jumble that we see? Why could not give the part of the country that follows, and which by the way is almost certainly the majority in quantitative terms, no more than this poor representation? Yes, they have certainly influenced the leadership of Berlusconi and his personality.

But if it is true that power and personality of the leader have been a decisive factor in preventing the Right expresses nothing more than Forza Italy and the PDL, it is also true that neither the other cover the problem. Which instead refers to basic features of Italian society and as such concern both right and left. In fact, the simultaneous occurrence of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Clean Hands has meant the virtual end of all that modern Italian political culture failed to field in the twentieth century (the fascist had already been wrecked in '45). It is thus left a vacuum that the country was unable to fill. There was no overlooking the scene no vision for the future, any new idea, nessun'indicazione significant, no new energy policy actually came to the village. Nothing. The result is
that political leaders in Italy younger have at least passed fifty. But of course the gap is more sensitive to the right, and are more sensitive to adverse effects, because that's where the history of republican Italy has not built anything, and so could not leave any deposit, which instead was left alone in the center-left heir of a sixty years of uninterrupted government of the country as the center and the periphery. Just as in the center-left were almost all vertices of the political class who was Catholic or Communist, bringing with him the experience and abilities.
