Visit and walk in Val Venosta

Departure: Before the walk we visited the 'Abbey of Neustift which is located in Varna / Varna, a town not far from Bressanone / Brixen. To reach the starting point of the real, one arrives at the village of Rio Puteri (starting from Bressanone / Brixen), turn left and follow the signs to Maranza / Meranzen (1414 m). Once in town, turn immediately left and continue straight until you reach a parking area (1560 m). Follow the signs to Altfasstal.

Arrival: Moserhutte (1936 m), Pranterstadlhutte (1833 m), Wieserhütte (1850 m) and Grossberghutte (1644 m) all with refreshment room (well-marked path).

Departure: We arrived by car at the station of Merano / Meran and load the bikes onto the train (you can also rent). A Mals / Mals (1,051 m), take the bus (private) to the Reschensee / Reschensee (1498 m), the starting point of the ride.

Arrival: go along the path around the lake and then follow the signs for the bike track to Merano / Meran (race bike is not recommended because there is some stretch of dirt road cycling).

Difference: there is a lot down from above Reschensee to Mals (500 meters). But there is also some small incline and very plain, so you have to be trained a little bit.
