Who says fairy tales do not exist?

Departure: from Bolzano / Bozen you take the highway MEBO and take the exit for South Merano. Follow the directions for Passeiertal and walk along the valley to the village of St. Leonhard / Sankt Leonhard. From here, follow the signs to Moos / Moos and after two successive bends, turn right on the road to Stulles / Stuls (1315 m). You park the car near the church and take the narrow road that rises to the left following the signs for Eggergrubalm (you can also park your car near the farm Hochegg).
Arrival: Hochegg (1640 m), Eggergrubalm (1929 m, with an excellent dining place that should be open all year round. Tel 0473649600) and Hochalm (2174 m)
Total Time: 3 hours and 30 minutes about to return from Eggergrubalm. Another hour if you go to Hochalm.
Gradient: 614 m to Eggergrubalm (only 325 m if we start from Hochegg) and 245 m to Hochalm

Hike: The hike is beautiful and not at all hard (there are no exaggerated slopes) despite the first half hour you walk on the asphalt. Haliaetum for the upward or downward, you can stop at the farm Hochegg (twenty minutes from the start) where we ate a delicious chocolate cake and banana. Eggergrub you eat well in the Hills: The dumplings were delicious and the goulash was cut with a breadstick. To get to Hochalm, located just above the Eggergrub, it takes about 40 minutes (keeping to the left). It is worthwhile to do some 'extra effort to enjoy a beautiful view (you see the Shelter Plan and Petrarch).
